Cymatics is a way to discern the effects sound has on matter: which would also include grey matter and the molecular effects sound has on our physiology in general.

These shapes represent an order to nature that is fundamental to our interaction with environment and the experiences our consciousness procures from it. These geometrically represented responses to resonant frequency are an aspect to our natural experience, sense or perception within this world; an aspect that could be of profound significance to how we decipher, decode, assimilate and discern our reality. On a molecular, nanoscopic or microcosmic level, obstructing, disrupting or contorting this natural order could drastically decrease our natural abilities of resonance, thus theoretically, our faculties of perception, deduction, intuition or even instinct. The physical experience of sensing sound or music could feasibly be transformed or impeded.

Sound or frequency resonance is not something we just hear with our ears; our bodies function in relationship with the plethora of sonic impulses in our environment. If we are able to see how frequency is used in telecommunications technology, then we may be able to discern how it could be used to disrupt or nullify aspects of human sensibility or experience.
